Table Rock Dam and Lake
Experience Table Rock Lakeshore trail. This beautiful trail is 2.2 miles long and runs from the Dewey Short Visitor Center to the Table Rock State Park Marina. Persons using the trail in the spring will view dogwood, serviceberry and redbud trees in bloom as well as many wildflower species. During the fall season, visitors are treated to nature’s colorful fall foliage. The trail also offers beautiful views of Table Rock Lake. The trail will also take you by the Showboat Branson Belle where you can enjoy a wonderful dinner cruise. It also takes you through Table Rock State Park which offers many recreation accommodations.
The Dewey Short Visitor Center is open seven days per week from April 1st to October 31st. The U.S Army Corps of Engineer’s Dewey Short Visitor Center is located 3 miles west of U. S. Hwy 65 on State Hwy 165 at the south end of Table Rock Dam. The center features a 20 minute film entitled, "Taming of the Riviera Blanche". This fantastic film details the construction and purpose of Table Rock Dam. The Visitor Center contains exhibits detailing the natural history of the area and the native Americans who inhabited the Ozark Mountains in prehistoric times.
Table Rock Lake boasts an abundance of bass, crappie, white bass, catfish, and bluegill, and is acclaimed as one of the best bass fishing lakes in this hemisphere.
Its reputation for producing hefty stringers of bass laced with lunkers was earned through an unprecedented management program. A 15-inch length limit and creel limit of six fish linked with an abundant food chain in the lake, is the foundation of this fine program. The result is a resurgence of large numbers of largemouth, Kentucky and smallmouth bass of exceptional size available anytime of the year for the professional and novice angler alike.

MUSICAL HISTORY: Branson's entertainers began performing for audiences in the
early 1950s when country legend Red Foley moved to Springfield
to host the "Ozark Jubilee." In 1959, the Mabe Brothers began
performing twice a week in a converted building down by the Lake
Taneycomo waterfront. In 1962, the Presley family began entertaining
visitors in nearby Kimberling City. The Presley's built the first
theater along Highway 76 "The Strip" in 1967, followed by the
Mabe Brothers, now known as the Baldknobbers, who built their
theater in 1968.
Branson's reputation came to a height during the early 1990s when

Mecca. Since then, both entertainers and visitors have made Branson
one of the top vacation destinations in the country.
